The KKR-1 and KKR-2 type reconnaissance pods were used on the Hungarian Air Force's Sukhoi Su-22M3 fighter-bombers . The pods enabled these multi-purpose aicraft to photograph and video recordground and air targets.
The pod , which could be suspended from the central pylon of the SU-22,contained one each of the A-39, PA-1, and UA-47 type cameras as well as anSRS-13 on-board general radio-reconnaissance station.
The Hungarian Air Force introduced 12 of the variable geometry (swing wing) Su-22M3s in 1983, to the 101st Reconnaissance Squadron at Taszár.
